Humans are creatures of faith, whether or not they view themselves as "religious" ... the only question being in WHAT or in WHOM we will place that faith. It is our choice alone, and not a decision anyone else can make for us.
"...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...
But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
(Joshua 24:15)
It was a privilege to serve God and the men and women of our armed forces for 5 years in the Air Force Reserve, followed by 26 3/4 years of active duty in the US Air Force. Retirement from the Air Force Chaplain Service came in the Fall of 2005, followed by retirement from the United Methodist Church in June 2006. We are now involved in a volunteer position as National Chaplain with the SMART ...(Special Military Active Retired Travel Club) RV group, and have also joined the NOMADS, a Volunteers in Mission group of the United Methodist Church which provides short-term work opportunities around the United States for RV'ers.
